Michael Simmons

Michael Simmons is a mortgage industry veteran with over 35 years of experience across residential lending, valuation, and appraisal management. In 2009, in response to HVCC-driven market disruption, Michael co-founded AXIS Appraisal Management Solutions to serve both lenders and appraisers with a differentiated model.

Under Michael's leadership, AXIS has grown into a powerhouse AMC with coverage spanning all 50 states. AXIS serves lenders, brokers, and financial institutions with residential and commercial appraisals, evaluations, and BPOs.

Prior to AXIS, Michael spent over two decades as a Senior Loan Officer at Real Estate Financial Services. He writes regularly for Appraisal Buzz and participates in leadership forums including CRN, the AI National Conference, AARO, and Valuation Expo.

Michael is based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he and his family are longtime foster care advocates. He serves as a Senior Advisor to Two Roads Advisors, contributing deep industry expertise to TRA's mortgage services practice.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys fishing, softball, and spending time with his three dogs.
